2012 Reasons to be Thankful

I trust you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas celebration and break, however you chose to celebrate. We are having a lovely few days together as a family, with lots of playing with Lego punctuated by brief walks in the wintry weather.

At the darkest part of the year it is inspiring to have time to reflect on the successes and the challenges of this year coming to an end, and to look forward to the New Year looming with its own sets of challenges and enjoyments. Taking some time to consider reasons to be thankful helps energise you for the days to come.

As a family we have had a fantastic year, with lots of celebrations including big birthdays, anniversaries and even our wedding to celebrate, and we have shared some good times with friends and family.

As a family business we have enjoyed working with clients both short- and longer-term, and look forward to increasing this as my time frees up later in the year.

Our children are growing up and their personalities are developing and lighting our days as our four year old son never stops chattering about his latest passions and our daughter moves forward with a grace and a gentle intelligence that is astonishing to watch.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported us over the past year, and there are many of you, and as I look forward to an exciting 2013 I wish all of you an equally exciting and fulfilling time for yourselves and your family.

What a beautiful post; a gentle reminder to pause and be thankful, it can be all too easy to focus on the negative elements. Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous new year

Books I read in April 2021 First Person Singular Haruki Murakami 5/5 Reading these Murakami stories is at once coming home to familiar ground and at the same time being taking in a new direction by each story.
