Apples and pears – village apple day, people brought their own fruit, joined in with the pressing, then took away some apple juice. My little girl and her friends spent two hours lifting hte apple mush into the press – they were very sticky but they had a fab time. Little boy was dumping the apples in the crusher.

Interesting photo! Can’t quite make out what’s going on. Is that your daughter’s hair? My daughter has hair like that too! We have so much in common…

apples mostly – so many of them around the village we could probably swim in the juice today. Local pigs got the leftover mush so they will be very happy today.

We did tie her hair back just after this picture – didn’t want hair in the juice or her in the press! She is eight soon and hasn’t had a haircut – determined not too for now!

This is such a great photo in so many ways – the interaction between the ages – technologically and physically, her flowing hair vs his flat cap. Hope the result was as tasty as it should be!
